This is Amit from Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology. I am glad to say that i am selected in Infosys. I am going to share my experiences...........
First of all there was a written test. It comprised of two parts....
1.Aptitude test
2.verbal test
Their were 30 ques for 30 min in aptitude test & 40 ques for 30 min in verbal test.

3.your B. Tech percentage is quite good, so tell about your study pattern.
4.what did you learn in your training?
5.what is the difference in JNV (my school) & other schools?
6.tell about your school life.
These are the ques which were asked to me in infosys interview. I replied all very confidently. Finally i got selected in INFY.
hii friends this is guru.........

mins.(paper has 3 sections namely verbal,quantitative
ability,reasoning) + 1 essay to b written in 10 mins.......
2. HR Interview for checking our communication and speaking skills
3.Technical Interview to chk our technical knowledge
In the Written test 30 of the 659 appeared students were shortlisted
To my surprise my name was there....which made me amazed......
This made me realize one thing.........DON'T NEGLECT WRITTEN
TEST........it plays a very important role in selection
procedure...........
HR round was next..........
I went to him and the first question he asked me was tell me about
yourself........about ur hobbies??? and then the next was anything u
know about accenture......i was able to answer the questions with
confidence which impressed him and my HR round was cleared..........
Next and Last round was Technical.....i entered the room and the first
question he asked me was Tell me about Oracle....what is 'g' in Oracle
10g......various version of oracle........this shaked my
confidence......i couldn't speak anything as i had no knowledge of
oracle.....but finally i gained courage and said him frankly that my
area of interest was 'C' and i can't answer his question on Oracle as

hi this is Aarushi.... what happens when u get something when ur least expecting it?A similar thing happened to me on the 14th of jan..The accenture drive was everybody's dream evr since we were informed about it.. and getting placed in Accenture was the most beautiful moment of my life and my parents' too! The drive had 3 rounds 1.aptitude(written) 2.HR interview 3.Technical interview guys, ill give u a piece of advice..Dont be too casual about the written round but dont make a fuss about it as well.... everything is easy and tough at the same time...depends on how "WE" perceive things! Written test is a piece of cake if you carefully divide your time for all the questions..remember u have 55 questions and 55 mins...so dont spare more than 1 minute on any question! Go for the easy questions first ! and if time is left come back to the ones u left ! since there was no negative marking u should have marked all the questions!! (ho sakta hai tukka fit baith jaaye;)) HR round is basically for judging ur confidence level and ur communications abilities...so start reading a lot of newsapers ! Be confident while answering and ull b through! Technical round isnt very easy,so prepare well in advance !Knowledge of any one programming language and a DBMS would do ! thank u
This is Neha Gupta attended the campus recruitment of Accenture on 14th jan 2010 at IIMT Engg. College Meerut I am going to share with u some of my experience about the recruitment. The experience was more of an exciting one for me but yet filled with feeling of fear and dilemma about whether "I would be able to grab this big opportunity".
There were 3 steps for our selection 1. Written 2.Hr interview 3.Technical interview
First of all our written exam paper consist of 3 sections 1. verbal 2. quantitative ability 3. reasoning
There were 55 ques to be solved in 60 min and 5 min for essay writing in"reservation in education system". Then for about 1 hour we had PPT(Pre placement talk). After that was over we were told that results will be announced there itself. They themselves before announcing the name told us that only 30 out of 649 students have cleared the test. At that moment itself i thought"no chance of getting in now". But luckily my name was there and my happiness was at highest point.
Next was the hr round.I was so much tensed about it that i was shivering more from fear than from cold. As soon as i went in front of him his face was very stubborn and strict but i gave a smiley expression and through that was able to overcome my fear.
Then he asked me some ques like: Why Accenture? Why u wish to join Accenture? What is ur last wish?Where do u want to take ur parents?Do u wish to relocate? Are there any other offers in hand? I confidently answered all these questions and within 2 or 3 min my interview was over and in 5 sec i was told my hr result. Next was my technical round...........as soon as i asked the person "sir may i have a seat" .....He said"sure this seat is for u"....Then he started questioning me What is data structure? What is database? Why do we require it?What is link list? What is sdlc?Draw any model of sdlc?Do u know about testing? What is black-box testing? What is grey-box testing ?Then i made a weared face ..He told that u don't know about it ..I told him yes..Then he asked What is performance testing? What is regression testing? Can u tell the 7 layers of TCP/IP protocol sequence wise?
Then he told me "Delhi is not made for u .I will send u mumbai".Then i told i don't have any problem in relocation. He said ok and told me "i'm selecting u but don't tell about this anyone outside".I said ok.Then he asked me to leave.
The most interesting part of my interview was now .
As I was leaving from the room I suddenly turned back and asked my interviewer "Sir can I ask a technical question from u".He said"sure".I asked him something related to C and C++use. He then told me"Sry i am actually not from technical background i'm from ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)background and just did my technical and i cannot answer u .I have worked in SAP and in ABAP language and u might learn even coding in that there. I then asked him"Sir how long have u been working in accenture?".He told me that"I have joined as a fresher in TCS then after 9 months left TCS and joined in accenture UK.Then worked there for about 4 years now I'm in accenture bangalore since past 4 months".I said then"ok it was nice meeting u".He replied "same here".
And as soon as i came out of the rum i lost my conscious and hugged my friend as i was being sure to be selected...My happiness and enthusiasm was nowhere .I could really feel an unimaginable happiness.. This was all about my experience.....................
Hi this is Aashish Sharma attended campus recruitment of accenture on 14 jan 2011 in IIMT Engineering College,Meerut...

But when i got infront of him i was calm and composed and he asked few questions as tell me about yourself??? and anything about accenture......i replied confidently and finally cleared HR round
Last round was Technical ...i entered the room and he started questioning about java but i have prepared C++ i replied few of them finally he asked questions from C++ .....i got on track

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the dominating factor behind admission to varied M.Tech admissions in some of the institutes of national repute. Scoring high in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a pre-requisite not only for NITs, IITs but also for several private-owned institutions across the country. Not only this, while conducting interviews, 70% of weightage is given to GATE score and 30% is meant for academic merit. All the institutions declare the minimum percentage of marks required and GATE score is essential for almost all of these institutes. Hence, GATE is prescribed for all those who are looking for admission to M.Tech or post-graduate programme with scholarship or assistantship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). For all those who have already tried for admissions in M.Tech must be aware that there are numerous colleges that specify GATE score as a mandatory qualification even for admission without MHRD scholarship.
Eligibility for GATE
The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE:
a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
b) Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
c) Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master’s degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
d) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societiesrecognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers(India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.
GATE Qualification
Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master’s degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other Government scholarships/assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination. GATE qualification is also a minimum requirement to apply for various fellowships awarded by many Government Organizations.
Why should we take GATE:
To pursue M.Tech program in a leading institute of the country. The benefits of M.Tech are:
a)More and better companies are coming for Campus Placement in leading Institutes
b)Higher salaries are being offered for M.Tech as compared to B.E.
c)M.Tech degree leads to specialization and furthering of interest in a certain area which may lead to Ph.D
d)M.Tech degree is a must for those wishing to apply for Faculty/Research positions in educational Institutes/R&D centers.
e)Scholarship is paid during M.Tech, so no headache to parents for financial requirements.
f)The M.Tech program is a 3 semester (18 months) program; so get more time to work out career opportunities. g)MOSTIMPORTANTLY to get to be a part of any Nationally reputed Educational Institute and enjoy learning and research.

All the questions are of multiple choice type. For multiple choice type questions, each question will have four choices for the answer. Q.1 to Q.25 (25 questions) carry one mark each (subtotal 25 marks). Q.26 to Q.55 (30 questions) carry two marks each (sub-total 60 marks). Questions Q.56 – Q.65 belong to General Aptitude (GA). Questions Q.56 – Q.60 (5 questions) carry 1 mark each (sub-total 5 marks) and questions Q.61 – Q.65 (5 questions) carry 2-marks each (sub-total 10 marks). Questions Q.48 – Q.51 (2 pairs) are common data questions. Question pairs (Q.52, Q.53) and (Q.54, Q.55) are linked answer questions. The answer to the second question of the linked answer questions depends on the answer to the first question of the pair. If the first question in the linked pair is wrongly answered or is unattempted, then the answer to the second question in the pair will not be evaluated.
NEGATIVE MARKING: For Q.1 – Q.25 and Q.56 – Q.60, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. For Q.26 – Q.51 and Q.61 – Q.65, 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The question pairs (Q.52, Q.53), and (Q.54, Q.55) are questions with linked answers. There will be negative marks only for wrong answer to the first question of the linked answer question pair i.e. for Q.52 and Q.54, 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for Q.53 and Q.55. Questions on Engineering Mathematics will carry about 15% of the total marks (excluding General Aptitude section) in all the papers bearing the codes AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT and PI.
Each GATE paper shall have a General Aptitude (GA) component carrying 15 marks
Results of qualified candidates in GATE will give All India Rank and indicate percentile score. For example, a percentile score of 99 means you are in the top 1% category of the candidates who appeared for GATE. GATE scores are valid for 2 years. You may reappear the GATE exam if you are not satisfied with the earlier score and the new score (if better than the old one) will be used for admission purposes.
What Next – After the Exam
After publication of GATE results, students must apply to individual Institutes to get their application forms. Institutes advertise M.Tech admissions in leading newspapers from 1st April till end July. However some Institutes do not advertise and therefore students have to get the forms themselves. In the application forms, you have to mention your GATE score alongwith other details. The concerned Institute may conduct written test and/or interview for the purpose of admission.
General thumb rules: If your Gate score in Computer Science is 96 percentile or more then you can try for IITs, if between 85 – 96 percentile, then apply for top NIT's. If less than 85, you have to look for appropriate institutes.
